Thanks so much for joining in this spiraling conversation–I’ve been out and about tracking it all, and it’s dazzling.

I like your comment about asynchronicity–I’d not thought about it in those terms before.

oh–and the title crib chronicles. i love it, and also you can also play on what crib means–this is *your* crib, right? a crib of one’s own? A crib with a view?

Sorry–am a little manic right now. Must be the blog crack.

Oh how traumatic! And the worst part is we, as mommies, are obligated to stand back and watch our children go through the process. I know we were there once, too. That doesn’t make it any less difficult to endure. Kudos on staying strong whilst checking the bloody little mouth. Oh the joys I have to look forward to in the next few months with Mikaela (aka Miss Independent)…

I just LOVE THIS POST! You are not alone in any of these thoughts. However, you have just managed to put on paper what I have recently begun mulling over. I am new to this whole thing (my blog began in early February) and I am astonished at how it has taken over my thoughts and what little free time I have.

Is it a bad sign when the baby cries as soon as I look at my computer??

Ooooo, I like the way you describe the asynchronous nature of blogging and the merits it has over plain old conversations. Yes, I find that my eloquence has shot up 1,000 fold since I shut up and started typing.

my old friend…we are almost old now given when we first met… I wonder if we still look alike now. It’s Andrea, tooling away in an office space in Toronto. I just ran into Steve, the Mount A/Halifax ex, and he told me about your blog. I have not had the chance to pour through it yet but saw the pictures of your boy and am quite, frankly, so excited about the tone and style of your blog…like hearing your voice! Basically, I blog because it has given me a community of “internet friends.” After moving 10 hours from my family and friends, I often felt lonely and isolated. Blogging has allowed me to connect with other moms and that is wonderful.

I am just as insane about comments as you are. I check my blog approximately 569 times per day. I get super excited when someone new comments.

Also, despite the problem I am having, I can always count on my readers to be encouraging and to offer great advice.

Oh, my brain is such mush right now and the chance of a meaningful response is virtually nil..

But I had to at least chime in and say I am in love with that last paragraph, and I’m going to marry it and we’re going to have crunchy, wordy, delicious babies together. Pellets? Crack? Junkie? You nailed it. Genius! :)
