I totally relate.

If it's any consolation (and, let's be honest, it's not) women all over North America feel your pain. (I guess we're lucky in our plight compared to women in a lot of other parts of the world; what I really wanted to say was, Women around the world feel your pain. : )

Anyway, I have decided to make a world-tour of my own by visiting all the sites near my own on the BlogHer blog roll! (Crib Ceiling - we're just one off!)

Loved visiting; I'll be back!

I understand your confusion. I've never felt as good about myself as a SAHM unless I'm making money. But it's never enough. And I've been here so long that I'm used to it and now I'm afraid to get back out there full time. Sending you good thoughts.

Fran is a real world true friend of mine -- and she is even MORE wonderful than she seems on her blog, I can assure you.

Congratulations on the Perfect Post Award. That was the first post I read by you (forwarded by Fran) and you became an instant daily read - and I am so glad.

bon, i completely understand where you are on the work front. to go back, and have to spend time away from your precious O, it would truly have to be the 'perfect' job... unfortunately, getting a 'professional' job, something in the 'field', something 'challenging', is likely to take you away from O more than would a job with a less responsibility... how do we strike a balance here??

and no, i don't play the guitar. i own one (have since about 1999 when i decided i would learn to play) but it's in australia. i also bought one i korea, fully intending to teach myself... hmmm...third time lucky??? i think m has one somewhere... :)

Well deserved Bon. That post is one I remember. Considering how crappola my memory is these days (like it was ever any good!) that's saying something. I do not understand the origin or 'how' of these awards, but well done Bon, well done.
