I feel the same way-- overwhelmed by the conflicting info. I wish someone I trust would distill it and just tell me exactly what to do. Throw away this toy. Avoid that food. And so on. I could do that. But this reading conflicting reports, trying to go it alone? It isn't working very well for me either. Reform will be most welcome!

Sometimes it really is terrifying trying to figure out this mom stuff- what is and is not safe or ok. How to be an attentive parents without being a smothering parent- it's baffling!

That being said, maybe I can use "it's not a child safe environment" as a reason to avoid cleaning out that darn storage closet!

On this side of the pond I'm not-so-secretly in love with Marks and Spencer food. Which is officially and proudly Genetically Modified Ingredient Free. And M&S promises me that they're lowering nasty salt daily. But they fly in my lovely non-GM nectarines on planes from far far away. Which is bad. So I vascilate between non GM yummieness and potentially pig-gene-ed local tomatoes. Argh!

It is disturbing. And it seems like every day we find out something else we thought was safe, is not.

oh wow. we have a garage just like this. j was outside trying to clean it up and wanted me to help and i was flummoxed...it's just too overwhelming the magnitude of it. and yes, it's how i feel about the rest, too.

so i too am waiting and hopeful and willing to clean the corners i can.

Amen, sister. I understand this dislocation, this sense that nothing can be trusted anymore.
