I'm glad you got to experience it, though I am a sad for your friend. I hope she, and her litte one, will be ok. As you so aptly stated "she will have to find her own way" and I'm sure that your mere presence there gave her courage and hope. Sometimes what's important is not only getting from A to B, but all the stuff in between too, and all that "stuff" is only hers to own and decipher. As for your clever piece of writing, I devoured every word and didn't see that ending coming which made it all the more entertaining. Great work! It goes without saying that now I want to know what the hell happened to Gordon afterwards. The torture never stops! Being on the other side can sometimes be just as surreal.
