Another beautiful, thought-provoking and appreciation-increasing post. Your words so often stop me in my tracks and let me see the world in a different way.

Yay for Posey's progress! TG, meanwhile, was apparently teasing us. He did those few steps over a week ago and not much else since. But when I sit in front of him and his eyes find mine then crinkle at the corners, his sudden eagerness for a cuddle causes him to dive headlong into me instead of toddling over my way. And no part of me minds at all.

I know of broken Septembers though could not have expressed it so poignantly. Fall's change can be a reminder of life's whiplash sometimes.

Congratulations to sweet Josephine on officially becoming toddler. I am smiling at the thought of how the world has opened up to her. Well done, little one.

Both my parents are Virgos. I like to think I chose them so they could curtail my wanton, free-flowing Sagittarian self from disappearing into sheer life. Now, of course, I have an inner Virgo too. She gets everyone up in the morning, packs lunches, serves dinner on time and makes sure the teeth gets brushed after bathtime. But come sleepytime? It is the Sagittarian who spins the stories and makes magic in the night and sometimes lets everyone stay up too late eating ice cream. And today? I think I will enjoy eating a crisp Fuji apple with some sharp cheddar as much as I have enjoyed reading this post.

This is one gorgeous piece of writing, Bon. Lately, I spend a lot of time hankering after normal, and I suspect I have an idealized image of what it looks like, even though I know (I think) better. This, a new way of looking at it, is very welcome.

Breathless, Bon. That was rich and as tart as a crisp apple on a cold (but sunny) fall morning.
