we don’t call her princess. but when her little feet get weary in the Canada Day Parade, he treats her like one.
happy long summer weekend, North America. we’re up to our ears in real princes & princesses here in PEI. hope you’ve got your feet up just like Posey.

Dave IS awfully sweet. Josephine & her royal wave are cute too, though. ;)

Did anyone actually see them? Were they in a motorcade?

Neil, they were seen by the entire supervillage (real term) of Belledune, NB…population 300ish? most of which is either IN the parade or turned out along the one main drag constituting the town.
Posey’s weariness (and Dave’s, after carrying her awhile) was eventually noted by the kind driver of the 1981 Ford pickup following us in the parade, so she & i got to ride on the bench seat (no carseat! bizarre throwback!) and wave to the folks.

So do our new greatest tourist attraction pass muster up close? You’ve probably seen more of them than this Londoner is ever likely to.

Betty, i am a shame to the memory of my dear departed royalist Nannie, but i didn’t brave the crowds. Oscar & my mom & i did sit on the grass at the end of my street for awhile last night, thinking we might catch them on the way in from the airport, but no luck.
i have mixed feelings about the whole shebang, but they do seem like a rather charming young couple. except she needs a cookie. or twelve. seriously.

Look at her all dressed in red! Did you get to watch some fireworks?

Every girl needs to be treated like a princess every so often.

I loved the red as well. Hope it was a lovely weekend all around.

We’ve offloaded the Duke and Duchess onto you for a few weeks but it’s still blanket coverage over here in the UK. Still, I get to see a little bit of Canada on my television which is lovely. I even looked for you in the crowd!
